In recent years the sales of colored mulch have increased because more people want to spruce up their flower beds around their homes or businesses. As more mulch manufacturers are seeing the benefits of adding different colors of mulch to their inventory, they are looking for the right supplier.
Mulch colorants are manufactured not by the person who makes the raw mulch but by large manufactures that have the equipment to process large quantities of pigment. CMC (Custom Milling & Consulting, Inc.) has a full line of machines that mixes materials together to create a liquid mulch colorant that can be used on wood, greenwaste, palm or a few other substrates. They mix them in with other liquids and horizontal bead mills that break down the particles to very small sizes. The fine particles, that CMC produces, allows for optimal coating, while using less product to achieve the desired results.
With mulch colorants you want to make sure that they are completely coating so that it is a uniformed color and you will not have spots or pieces that are not being colored in their mulch. CMC has created a formula that is less toxic than your typical table salt that adheres to the fibers of the mulch and is designed to last.
CMC mulch colorants come in a variety of colors:
- Crimson Red
- Bursting Red
- Spring Brown
- Xtra Black
- Jet Black
